My activities in design tend to focus on exploring and uniting a blend of typography, vibrant color, and graphic illustration to create identity systems, package design, and poster designs, along with other forms of visual communication both print and digital.
With my work I try to generate new and different ways to solve problems by examining an obstacle from all perspectives. I also develop my work with a strong emphasis on typography, as I explore ways to convey simplicity in all its complexity, and make the familiar seem unfamiliar.
Currently, I work at sports branding studio Fanbrandz, where I help design and develop franchise identity and special event branding programs and style guides for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and other major leagues, as well as uniform design and custom typography. I also work on many other non-sports related branding and web projects. Some recent event branding work includes: MLB All-Star Game, NHL Winter Classic, and NHL All-Star programs - including development of a custom display typeface for the 2016 All-Star in Nashville.
